Gold Extraction Method--2.2 External Amalgamation

2.2 External Amalgamation
External amalgamation method refers to the gold amalgamation carried out out of the grinding equipment. The amalgamation board usually used in the external amalgamation method for gold  extraction. There are fixed and vibrating amalgamation plate. The former can be flat board, ladder board or board with trap ditch. At present, the fixed plane amalgamation board is the most commonly used one in China. The flat fixed amalgamation board consists of bracket, bed and mercury board. The bracket and bed can be made of wood or steel, no leaking pulp of the bed. The mercury plate on bed surface is silver-plated copper plate with thickness of 3mm to 5 mm, width 400mm to 600mm, length 800mm to 1000 mm. Mercury plates are laid on bed surface as the bracket tilt direction.

The external mixing mercury gold extraction operation process: spread liquid mercury on the silver-plated mercury board surface, mineral pulp flow on the board, will contact with the mercury. After starting the job, and then further mercury is added to the pulp. Wait the amalgamation operation for some time, a layer of mercury cream will stay on the mercury surface, scraped it timely. The external amalgamation method is suitable for the extraction of gold-bearing polymetallic ore, which is mainly used to capture the coarse gold. For gold plant, most of the amalgamation board is installed in the port of discharge of the ball mill to recover the coarse free gold in the mineral grinding equipment.
