The introduction of Jig separator

Jig separator, also known as jig machine, jig concentrator, mineral jig, is a compact and efficient gravity device which is widely used for beneficiaiton of a wide range of minerals. it can separate heavy liberated minerals from light minerals, works on the difference in density. As the development of jig separator, There are different type of jig separator for different application. They are LTAseriese jig separtor for small feeding size (below 8mm) , AM30 jig separator which can process below 30mm minerals and FRT16-2 jig separator which can process below 50mm size.

The work principle of jig separator

Although the jig separators have different types, they have the same working principle. The crushed crud ore enters the jig separator with appropriate particle size, then evenly enters into feed chute through the feeding device, the down moving swing link does up and down moves in the eccentric link system during operation of the down moving jigger. Users can adjust the up and down moving distance by adjusting the amount of eccentricity of the eccentric shaft, adjust the stroke by adjusting the motor speed. The pendulum does the regular swing up and down and drives the movement of eardrum and vertebral body, thus make the water flow in the jigger moves up and down regularly. The water flow of the jig separator is sine wave pulsating flow due to the sine wave curve generated by eccentric Link system. Sine wave pulsation curve makes the water flow in the jigger to form a vertical alternating force, so the ore material entered the tank is re-layered into different layers under the vertical alternating force.

Density ore particles settling down to the bottom layer quickly in the water flow, while the low density ore particles settling slowly in the upper layer the small density of the mineral particles in the flow. Since the differences in the density, the low density material can not penetrate the dense material layer, so there appears two material layers and heavy minerals go through the sieve into the groove, light mineral enters into the tailings tank and is discharged from the jigger. The ore materials are fed into the jig separator continously, being separated, then discharged. This is the whole jigging beneficiation process.
