Hand selection is mainly used for fluorite ore rough election at mine mouth, abandon chunks of waste rock, plays a role in pre-selection, but the hand election is labor-intensive, low efficiency, poor dressing effect, leading to this method can not apply a wide range.

Gravity separation is a separation method that make use of the different specific gravity between the gangue and fluorite. This method has advantages of energy efficient, environmental protection, etc. and it can handle coarse, medium and fine fluorite ore. It is understood that 80% metallurgical used flourite ore are processed by this method.

Flotation method is making use different Flotability of flourite and gangue, the flotation beneficiation can get high indicators and high grade concentrate, is the only way to produce high-grade fluorite powder for chemicals used, but flotation generates pollution to the environment and nedd huge investment in equipment, the production cost is very high, so it has been hindered by various conditions.
